After only 2 short years as an active professional, Sammy had performed with some of the biggest names in the Industry including Darryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Paulini, Jon Stevens and even her broadway idol, Patti Lupone in her Australian tour “Don’t Monkey with Broadway”. This trajectory has only continued post-covid, with Sammy recognised as a leading lady for the nationally renowned Baker Boys band, as well as her own band “The La La Band”. Sammy performs up to 50 corporate and wedding events annually and is a go to performer for the Canberra and surrounding regions.
Local to Canberra, Sammy grew up singing in the Woden Valley Youth Choir focusing on classical vocal training before moving to formal soloist training at age 16. Sammy has since acquired formal qualifications in vocal practice, health and first aid. Sammy has trained in musical theatre developing her skills in vocal practice, acting and dancing. As well as studying a Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Media) at the University of Canberra.
Sammy’s ‘big break’ came after being cast as Oz in the touring stadium production of We Will Rock You. Sammy’s other notable theatre accolades include Ariel in Footloose, Demeter in Cats and Lead female in the critically acclaimed The World Goes Round.
Sammy’s vision with La La entertainment is to offer high-end paid opportunities for Canberra Talent. Canberra is such a vibrant community of untapped potential. Entertainment is often outsourced to companies located in Melbourne or Sydney with Canberra talent sometimes overlooked. La La Entertainment aims to foster local talent to produce professional, quality performances that can compete with the best in the business.
